Lucille Kring

Experienced Leader for Anaheim City Council

Lucille Kring was elected to the Anaheim City Council in 1998, where she served until 2002.  Lucille has been involved in the Anaheim business community since 1979.  She owns and operates a business as a land management consultant.  Lucille earned a Law Degree  from Western State University College of Law and passed State of California Bar Exam.  She is also a real estate broker.

She became an Anaheim Chamber of Commerce Ambassador in 1995 and was Ambassador of the Year for 1996-97, after amassing 500 hours of volunteer service to the community.  In 1996, Lucille was elected to the Board of Directors of the Chamber and still serves as a board member today.

Lucille is active in numerous local charitable organizations.  She is on the Boards of Anaheim Memorial Hospital, Leadership Anaheim, and Anaheim Family YMCA.  A ten-year cancer survivor, she served on the Board of the American Cancer Society North Orange County Unit from 1996 to 2003 and regularly participates in fundraising for Muscular Dystrophy Association, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Paint Your Heart Out Anaheim.

She is a former president of a local Toastmaster’s chapter and has served as a religious education teacher at St. Columban Church in Garden Grove.  Lucille is also a graduate of the inaugural Leadership Anaheim class.

While on City Council, Lucille was the Chairwoman of the State Employee Relations Policy Committee for the Orange County Division of the League of California Cities.  She served on the Energy & Environment Committee for the Southern California Association of Governments and the Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Committee for the National League of Cities.  Previously, she was also a deputy foreman for the Federal Grand Jury for 18 months.

Her duties as a Council Member also included serving on the Audit Committee, Joint Powers Training Authority and the Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Authority.

She and her husband, Ron, have been Anaheim homeowners since 1989 and in their free time enjoy travel, gardening and cooking.
